About the moon stone:
It is a precious stone which has many protective properties, based on traditions and ancient legends. We thought for example that moonstone protected travelers, especially at night. It was deemed to light up their path, both literally - thanks to its shimmering shards - and symbolically, and was therefore often worn as amulette to keep the dangers away.
